Query Regarding EYE Problem (IRVAN Syndrome)

Dear Dr. Vatsal Parikh, This is regarding the eye condition of my wife (aged 22). The doctor that we have consulted has diagnosed her to be most likely suffering from Idiopathic Retinal Vasculitis, Aneurysms, and Neuroretinitis (IRVAN) syndrome. From the FFA & OCT reports generated the doctor arrived at this conclusion. FFA shows multiple dilated vessels on the disc in both eyes with leakage in late films. There is Cystoid Macular Oedema. No other vascular changes are seen except inferior vessel staining in right eye. OCT shows cystoid spaces and hyper-reflective lesions with back scattering suggestive of exudates. There is sub retinal fluid. The symptoms that she says, is blurred vision, wavy lines. She has very less vision (around 25%) in the left eye. She’s been suffering from this condition since the last 2-3 months. We have consulted a few doctors, but are not satisfied with the results. The doctor has advised her steroids. But even after six weeks (completing the dose of steroids), there has been no improvement in her condition. Now they are suggesting some injections. Is there a reliable method of treatment for this disease? Please advise. We will be highly obliged for any possible help in being directed for proper treatment. Thanking you in anticipation. Sincerely, Rajesh Agravat. Navi Mumbai P.S.: I can send across the scanned copies of the FFA & OCT reports. Also, if possible, we can personally come down for consultation.

the line of management is fine. but we need to see the patient for proper advise
